I woke up this morning with a couple of dozen bites.. I find that ammonia is the best remedy. When I get bitten, I itch really bad and I always get welts. If you want something which will relieve itching and is easy to carry around, get a small bottle of antibacterial hand gel. It stings like hell but it does give instant relief which will last for a good length of time.

The best anti itching stuff I have used is ammonia. Those little tubes of dab on liquid that they sell in the stores for 3.99 each has ammonia in it and believe me it really works. I have also dabbed windex and or glass cleaner on a cotton pad on a mosquito bite and on gnat bites. As long as it has ammonia in it it works. Vinegar works too but does not last as long nor work as fast.

The best way to get rid of mosquitoes is by keeping your environment clean, as they breed on the stagnated water and so on… Thank you.

For mosquito bites use a dab of Queen Helene mint julep mask on the bite. It will draw out the “poison” and the sulfur, peppermint and bio copper complex in the mask will heal the bite and soothe it within 15 minutes. This stuff is inexpensive…like 4 dollars and it really works. It’s amazing!

Also, keep a small tube of 2 % salicylic acid with you should you get bitten. Rub it on and it will decrease the swelling and the itch within 10 minutes or so. Any acne gel in the drugstore has it. It’s like 5 dollars. Another good product is Fruit of the Earth Cool Blue Aloe Mist with 1% Lidocaine.

All of these work. They are my arsenal when I get bit immediately. And then my hand is my next arsenal against the aggressive mosquito. Also, your best bet against getting bit at all is buying some inexpensive citronella oil and adding it to your shower gel.

They hate it!

They are especially irritating in the area where I live, as it is very close to the water. It takes a lot of my time to keep this pesky pest away, and I don’t always succeed.

I agree, sweating is the worst thing you could do near tjose ugly little mosquito. Those busterds will eat your alive.
