I told myself I wasn’t going to watch OJ’s robbery trial. But, being the CourtTV fan I am, along with the fact that I was overwhelmingly drawn to this drama, I’ve started watching from the beginning of the opening statements.

The prosecution had me at hello. But then, after hearing the defense’s opening, I’m now hooked on this trial! Seriously, the defense’s theory sounded almost legit and plausible, didn’t it? I seriously thought it was all about memorabilia and money – didn’t you?

Were those items just OJ’s personal items – mementos? What if? And, what about the phone call OJ makes directly after this alleged robbery? He talks about not knowing about any gun. What’s up with that?

I’ve got my DVR set to record Lisa Bloom, Jami Floyd and Banfield & Ford daily so I can watch them later (without all the commercials). What’s really great is that you can watch Trials on Demand – so if you miss anything, you can catch-up.

So, tell me what you think so far? Are you with the prosecution or defense?

I read a post this morning on Grizzly’s blog (Caroline Middlebrook – A Word About Trust) that got me thinking about right, wrong and truth simply being a matter of perspective.

Vic of BloggerUnleashed posted a video on his blog (Caroline Middlebrook LMAO) that basically belittles and bashes Caroline of Caroline Middlebrook.

I posted the following comment on Grizzly’s blog as it related to Vic’s video post:

Let me first say, I am unfamiliar with both Vic’s and Caroline’s blog. Anyways…

Vic’s video oozed the intense irritation, frustration, anger, resentment, envy and jealousy of his mind-made sense of self – his ego.

Perhaps what disturbs us most in/about others are those things we refuse to see and address within ourselves?

Vic’s relentless need to be right and superior to others (Caroline) caused him to create a conflict with this Caroline.

Isn’t it all simply a matter of perspective anyway? Vic proclaims he only cares about doing what’s right and telling the truth, but only according to Vic’s perspective.

If right and truth are truly what Vic is all about then I’m wondering what is right and true about resorting to belittling and bashing another?

When we criticize anyone, regardless of the reason, aren’t we really doing it because we’re trying to defend a mental-position that we believe in? Again, isn’t this a matter of perspective?

After I looked a bit closer at these two blogs I noticed the stats:

Caroline’s blog:
Google PR – 5
Alexa Rank – 26,554
RSS Readers – 1,876

Vic’s blog:
Google PR – 4
Alexa Rank – 40,696
RSS Readers – 1,144

Is Vic really worried about Caroline’s readers being scammed and manipulated by her? If his intentions are so honorable then why not allow her readers their own minds and perspectives?

Are you not scammed or manipulated only if that is your perspective?

What may be valuable to one may be worthless to another.

Perhaps we ought to realize and accept that our views and beliefs are only our individual mind-made perspectives.

Why do we criticize what other people say, do, think or believe so much?

I think it’s because we allow our different perspectives to give us the illusion that we need and must defend them – at all costs. After all, when we criticize, blame or condemn another aren’t we seeking to being right, superior and/or somehow better than someone else in the eyes (perspective) of others. Doesn’t this just give us a false-sense of self and worth?

Isn’t right and wrong a matter of perspective? And, what about “truth”? If truth is absolute then it doesn’t need to defend itself or does it?

Quick question. What side of your vehicle is your gas tank on (no peeking)?

I’ve been driving (legally) for 23 years now and I still forget and never remember which side of my vehicle the gas tank is on. I always have to stick my head out the window or ask the other people that are in the vehicle with me.

Well, after getting a forwarded email regarding this matter from my mom this morning – I sure felt stupid!

Get this — When you look at your gas gage, you’ll see a small icon of a gas pump. The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side. And…daaaaa…. if the handle extends to the left – your gas tank is on the left and vice versa. See photo:

Can you believe this!?

No man, mechanic, auto dealership or drivers ed teacher ever told me this!

Last night, as I’m watching First Born (on LMN), I see a commercial for a new and upcoming Reality TV show – “How To Look Good Naked”.

Hmmm…, the creators/producers of this show must really think that fat chicks are not only fat, but stupid too!

Featuring a moderately over-weight woman on the commercial – the commercial ends with her asking some guy if she looks good naked. And, he of course, says, “Yes” . Yeah – right, like they’re not paying him to say that!

I’ll bet this new reality show is really a pitch for baronbob.com’s Beer Goggles! I look good naked too… if you’ve got your beer goggles on!

Which reminds me of another commercial. The latest Lee Jeans commercial that tells women their new ”natural fit” jeans are “instantly slimming”! What a crock of shit! The women in that commercial are all a size 4! Of course their jeans don’t make their butts look fat!

I found and read this and just had to share it.
Thought for the day:
Handle every situation like a dog.
If you can’t eat it or hump it…
Piss on it and walk away.
