My recent divorce taught me a little about how different people see things differently. Though I admit I cannot see picking a fight based on blog perspectives, wouldn't your time be better spent working on the content for your own site?

@ MadWham: You certainly have a great mindset. I'm glad you also fixed those typos since it does help top pass link juice to all of the three bloggers you linked to.

I really enjoy it when others provide me with comments that make me think more than usual and you certainly have. It also takes guts to do what you did with your EBay business. Stepping back from a great income source like this isn't easy and I commend you for following your heart.

If you ever do get started on the EBay thing, I would love to find out, since I want to start my own shop there eventually and could learn things from you no doubt. (Just a plan at this stage anyway).

I also saw Grizzly replying to your comment on his blog and have to say he said it better than I could have ever done. Very thoughtful and from my own perspective also very spot on.

Don't worry about the dysfunctional bit. I myself don't think I'm normal, whatever that means anyway and I'm quite happy being so. :-)

Glad you found my blog interesting and I look forward to see you around. Like you, I have much to learn and I greet everyday with excitement since the isn't a day that I don't learn something new.

Thanks for a great discussion.

So, I click in my blogrush widget, and come to a site with a bunch of bickering going on. I thought I might find some pretty good information, but instead is sounds like some sort of office cooler he said, she said.

Maybe I'll come back when it settles down a bit.

Monika,

The spelling mistakes were simply typos. Thanks for pointing that out - I fixed them.

I do consider myself "dysfunctional" but am working hard on myself each and every day in order to decrease the dysfunction in my thoughts and actions. This is probably why Vic provoked something inside me. What I saw and heard in Vic were things I've seen and heard within myself. Basically, I clearly recognized the "Vic" in me.

I did run into him full-force, just as you thought. I created my own perspective not of "him", but of his words and actions based on what I saw and heard on his video.

And because of the how he went about it all - my attention and focus were not on what he was actually saying.

Did I judge him? No, I don't know him. But, I suppose I did judge his actions by comparing them to my perspective. But, what difference does it make what I think? It really only matters if someone happens to care what I think. Otherwise whether they agree or disagree with what I think is of no consequence.

My purpose was to provoke some thought and I see that this is at least what it did with you.

BTW... and yes - I'm up on the whole paid reviews issue, etc... and have learned the hard way by losing my Google PageRank and so on. I like to use this blog for whatever comes to mind. This blog is my first project as far being able to express myself and wing-it without having to be business-minded and politically correct.

As far as my eBay business, experience and knowledge goes... I've been putting some plans together in order to share with others when I don't have so much on my plate. I recently sold my ebay business, not because it wasn't highly profitable but because I no longer found joy in it. The stress and negative effects it had on me personally and my family were awful. The price for that financial success was too great and ultimately cost me things that money couldn't buy.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and feedback. I checked out your site and found it to be a great read. I've much to learn!

I think this case has more to do with ego than right or wrong. A firmly held conviction will allow someone to hold a different position without accosting them.

Hello MadWham,

I checked our your about page, but other than knowing your are dysfunctional (LOL, your words) I don't know your name). Anyway, I came to your blog from Griz's blog and I just wonder why you link to both Griz and Vic with an obvious mistake in the name Caroline?

Is this perhaps on purpose and if yes, why? I found your comment on Griz's very thought provoking at least and had to but in here.

You claim you don't know Carline or Vic. All though your just run into Vic full force by the looks of it. So how come you are already judging him by his words, rather than the action (rhetorically speaking) Isn't that also perception on your behalf?

To be fair, all I recommend is that Vic says behind his F words. Then go to Caroline's blog and read behind the messages there.

BTW, doing paid reviews really is not a good thing, UNLESS you don't care much for PageRank and later on advertising income from this blog.

Google really don't like that and I know, because I've been there. Hey, if you make so much money from EBay, why not share your secrets here with your readers so they can too.

Just a thought.

Vic,

The facts then... I'm not debating nor have I that what you've said or are saying about this Caroline aren't "the facts" and/or aren't true. You have misunderstood me and I seriously am not familiar with her site (until your video brought it to my attention and I had a look around).

With that said, what provoked me about your video was the way in which you went about it - the things you said and how you said them. The facts and/or the truth were irrelevant as my focus and attention seemed to be not so much on what you were saying but how you were saying it. Your video just got me to thinking about myself and the way in which people have different perspectives.

What's more is that it made me realize too that sometimes the things we oppose most and/or are in conflict with the more attention and fuel we give those things. Simply that the more we fight "against" something or someone the more attention (whether positive or negative) we give to that thing or person.

Personally, I've been working from home for years and am no longer affected by scams or their promoters. But, there was a time when I did buy into every "scam". It seemed like the scam-artists knew me personally. But, because I unknowingly allowed myself to be scammed, I now realize that these scammers and their bogus products ended up teaching me valuable lessons that I otherwise wouldn't of been forced to learn.

So, from yet again another perspective - scammers force us to learn how not to be scammed, taken advantage of and make better decisions.

I totally agree with helping others to "not to get scammed". In fact I have another website where I do exactly this as it related to helping people find legitimate work at home jobs. Further, I get many emails from my members asking me to check out this and that company and so on. I have found that many people only want and ask for help after they've been scammed or suffered. So, I even suppose the scammers have some useful purpose in teaching us valuable lessons.

Perhaps we all have a lot to learn from each other. We don't have to be "for" or "against" each other do we?

I'd enjoy talking with you in Las Vegas (providing you're just not trying to lure me to a dark parking lot to beat me up ;) )

Right and wrong are truly matters of perspective. But sadly truth can be as well. There are those who lie so often that they believe the lies themselves. Their perspective has them believing in them and fighting for the "truth" even though it really is not.
