I wonder why my blog won’t show the adsense after I added it in my sidebar. I have done exactly what you suggested here, both by adding the text widget and then pasting my adsense code, but when I go to my blog it just shows empty space where the adsense should be.

I added my code fine in the index.php and it shows up fine, but the sidebarjust keeps showing blank space. Any suggestions? BTW I love your site and subscribed in my google reader for updates. Cheers!

I suggest using AdSense-Deluxe for WP. It’s the best plugin out there and easy2use too.

Using either a plugin or modifying the theme does work, and something to watch for when choosing a blog is is it “adsense ready” which helps a ton

We’ve also noticed that not all themes come adsense ready, and your fix is perfect, however, not everyone is comfortable with messing with the .php files.

I actually like to play around with them (I’m not a coder though). I choose to tweak one thing at a time, remember where I was and either leave it changed or put it back the way it was and try again.

A slower learn as you go method
